Phelly was developed in line with the NSW PDHPE Syllabus to make it easier for teachers and carers to implement and ensure Phelly is not only at home, but anywhere children are.
We know it's tough to be a kid
We designed Phelly as a tool children can use to help develop new ways to look at, and cope with, the world.
Children learn everything they know about the world and themselves by gathering experiences throughout their lives. These experiences (not always positive) shape their beliefs & responses and in turn, the people they become.
Phelly opens dialogue and provides tools to help children solve issues they face but don’t always know how to handle.
Phelly encourages children to develop a feeling vocabulary by providing a level of rapport and trust built up through regular interactions.
When children feel that their feelings and experiences are respected, they are often able to move through an experience more easily.
Swoop in when they need help
Founded on a platform built of Psychology and Neuro-linguistic Programming, the Phelly program works to open conversation, help children reframe how they interpret stimuli and to ultimately help them form appropriate strategies to derive the best results in life.
Good for home, good for class
The beauty of Phelly is that he represents a community minded approach. Kids learn that sharing a problem is better than keeping it to themselves, so it is a great tool to teach social concepts and resillience at home, or in a classroom setting.
We've developed a range of classroom-focussed worksheets, reframing cards and other exercises which you can use in class to help kids deconstruct theoretical or actual events with a view to learning more appropriate decision making.
